ORBIS Europe announced the opening of a 2,300 square meter space in Leper, Belgium for its new distribution center and offices. Located in a clean environment, the new packaging distribution center in Flanders is used for sensitive and complex packaging solutions and inhibits contamination during packaging assembly and storage.
The international manufacturer of reusable plastic packaging, maintained its growth in the European market despite an economically challenging 2022. “We have developed our customer base as well as our organization,” said Jürgen Krahé, Senior Commercial Director EMEA.
“Through regular collaboration with our customers and partners, also at events such as FachPack and The Battery Show, we continue to focus on customer needs. That helps us to optimize our product portfolio with the customer in mind.”
Krahé added.
With a European presence since 2002, ORBIS Europe is part of ORBIS Corporation and represents the company in the EMEA region. ORBIS’ parent company, Menasha Corporation, is one of the oldest family-owned manufacturers in the United States (since 1849).
ORBIS has expanded its reach on the European continent by opening a new packaging distribution center in Leper, Belgium. At the same time, an area has been commissioned to receive visitors. Functional areas include customer support, logistics, production planning, purchasing and finance.
Krahé has stated that the development of new products focused on improving sustainability is part of the objective scheduled for 2023. In addition, customer-specific packaging solutions are currently in the prototyping phase. “We already meet the growing demand for sustainable transport packaging with our existing product portfolio. We are also working to increase the percentage of recycled material in our products and evaluate alternative materials,” Krahé noted. “In that way, our customers continuously benefit from our sustainable and innovative product portfolio and our expertise.” added the executive.
