Right from the start, the Olivia Saladas restaurant started using stainless steel containers to deliver the salads, but due to the high cost, they looked for alternatives in the market. The aluminium lunch boxes, besides being more practical, were the ideal solution.
With two locations in Rio de Janeiro and one in São Paulo, Olivia Saladas focuses on organic cuisine for fast food without giving up sustainable practices. Now it wants to go further and is studying the development of a tailor-made aluminium container.
“In this way, we deliver the new order and collect the old packaging. The customer will never pay for it or generate waste again,” says Eva Schvartz, the entrepreneur who conceived this business in 2016.
“When we go shopping, we have to take into account the ecological footprint of that product. In addition to using aluminium, with the support of conscious and committed customers it is possible to promote reverse delivery, with reusable packaging,” adds Schvartz.
In addition, among its many advantages, aluminium is the lightest complete barrier on the market. It is impervious to light, gases, water vapour, oils, greases, oxygen and micro-organisms. Metal keeps food fresh, safe and tasty, i.e. it preserves the quality for a long time. A trend that is here to stay.
