Meadow has announced a new alliance with Novelis, whereby this company will join the aluminum supplier network of the Stockholm-based packaging technology company, strengthening the supply chain of this company.
This agreement promotes the common goal of increasing the recycled content in the production of Meadow’s aluminum prefill, known as MEADOW KAPSUL™, in order to offer a more sustainable and circular product for the global consumer packaging market. Novelis joins other strategic partners in Meadow’s supply chain, such as Ball Corporation, DRT Holdings and C-CARE, thus reinforcing Meadow’s ability to scale its prefill solution through a solid and reliable industrial ecosystem.
As part of this strategic alliance, Meadow and Novelis will collaborate on various commercial and innovative initiatives, focused on generating sustainable solutions that help address the global waste crisis and promote circularity.
Victor Ljungberg, CEO and co-founder of Meadow, has stated that “collaborating with Novelis represents an important milestone for our company as it brings deep industrial experience and the scale and reliability needed to support our commercial growth. Most importantly, it strengthens the sustainability of our value chain, creating one of the most circular packaging solutions available today and bringing us closer to our ultimate goal of eliminating linear packaging.”
For his part, Greg Schlicht, senior vice president and commercial director of Novelis, said he was proud to work with Meadow to offer a sustainable packaging option for consumer products around the world. “Meadow’s focus on reducing waste and improving circularity is fully aligned with our vision of positioning aluminum as the preferred material, supported by circular solutions. Together we are developing innovative products to build a more circular and sustainable future.”
