During the Annual Conference of EuPIA (European Printing Ink Association), Nicolas Wiedmann, CEO of Siegwerk Druckfarben, has been appointed as the association’s president for the new term. Meanwhile, Heiner Klokkers, CEO of Flint Group Europe’s Publication and Packaging Inks Division, will assume the role of vice president.
In his welcome speech, Wiedmann reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening EuPIA’s role as a key player for all those involved in the sector. He also emphasized the importance of advocating for policies that drive innovation in the industry, while promoting the creation of safe, sustainable, and visually appealing printed products.
Wiedmann also dedicated a few words of recognition to his predecessor, Mehran Yazdani of Sun Chemical, for his outstanding work leading the association. “I am grateful for these past two years in which I have had the honor of leading EuPIA and for the support received to guide the organization in times of regulatory and social challenges. I wish Nicolas much success and will continue to support the Council and all members from my position”, Yazdani expressed.
Wiedmann’s mandate is shaping up to be both a challenging and promising stage. “It is an honor to assume the presidency of EuPIA. I look forward to working closely with EuPIA members and team to continue evolving and innovating, ensuring that the European printing ink industry maintains its competitiveness”, he concluded.
