The packaging line manufacturer KHS Group is launching a new model of compact can filler, ‘Innofill Can C’, which, in combination with the capping unit of its business partner Ferrum, can achieve a capacity of up to 60,000 cans per hour. The company is committed to the complete line through its combinable technologies.

Thus, the new compact can filler can be integrated into medium-capacity beverage lines, especially in combination with KHS process technology or the inspection technology that has been successively expanded over the past few years.

With the market launch of ‘Innofill Can C’, the company aims to contribute to shaping the future of the beverage industry with its combinable developments in high-precision filling technology, intelligent packaging solutions and smart services.

KHS has several combinable process technologies, such as ‘InnoPET Plasmax’, which meets the demand for recyclable containers. The coating for PET bottles surrounds the inside of the container with a thin layer of glass and offers 100% recyclability without mixing. It also has modular service packages that ensure efficient and trouble-free operation of production lines for beverage packaging.

For example, ‘ConnectApp Guide’, which enables digital management and plans maintenance tasks in all areas via a web application. For bottlers, this means greater reliability, reduced downtime and better production performance.

In terms of inspection technology from KHS, there is the ‘Innocheck MMS’ machine management system, which locates and evaluates defective filling valves and sealing elements; the ‘Innocheck FHC’ fill level control, which uses X-rays to check fill levels; and the ‘Innocheck ECI’ empty can inspector, which checks empty cans for foreign objects or damage.

An extension that can be retrofitted to existing lines can also be used to detect pre-existing blind spots. Tobias Wetzel, Managing Director Sales & Service at KHS, says “With our solutions, we are not only improving production quality, but also increasing safety and efficiency”.
