The gilded gilt of energy drinks continues to attract new suitors, historical brands but also new firms. Some with a frankly entry-level positioning. Such is the case with this offer seen on Super U, which is simply called Taurine Drink.

Adorned with a tiger head, the range includes two recipes Regular (blue) and Red (red, watermelon flavor). It is available in a 25 cl vendye can individually or in a 6-pack in film, as well as in PET bottles. On the price side, the Red Box is shown individually for 0.50 € (compared to an average of 1.19 € for the Red Bull Edition, also watermelon-flavored) and the Regular 0.46 € (compared to an average of 1.08 € for the classic Red Bull recipe). And the 6×25 cl pack of Regular sells for 2.73 € compared to an average of 6.17 € for the equivalent of the leading brand.

Another newcomer, seen at Intermarché, the energy drink signed Bunky. Marketed by Ogeu, this energy drink has a recipe based on Pyrenean spring water! Its positioning is also quite aggressive with a slim 33 cl can (a new format) displayed at €0.70 and the 50 cl can at €1 across the board.
