ACTEGA, the high-tech company that produces coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants and compounds for the printing and packaging industry, recently announced the appointment of Andrei Sotkeviciene as president for all North American operations.
The position of general manager of ACTEGA do Brasil, which had become vacant, was recently filled by Carlos Mateluna last March. This designation is intended to highlight ACTEGA’s dedication by recognizing the unique talents and professional skills it offers in all its territories.
Andrei Sotkeviciene replaces Mark Westwell, who is retiring after a long career with the company. Since joining the ALTANA Group in 2014, Sotkeviciene has held important positions at ACTEGA do Brasil, such as Chief Financial Officer, and will hold the position of Chief Executive Officer in 2019. Under his leadership, ACTEGA’s business in Brazil grew to become one of the division’s most successful regions. In addition, Andrei Sotkeviciene played an important role in the merger of the incorporated businesses of Overlake and Premiata with ACTEGA do Brasil.
Following his appointment Sotkeviciene said, “I am delighted to have been appointed President of ACTEGA North America. My focus will be to promote innovative solutions and build strong partnerships with all stakeholders. With the fantastic team we have in North America, our initiative will be to deliver high quality products and services with a sustainability-driven approach. I want to work closely with my colleagues to achieve our goals and maintain our position as an industry leader.”
The company also announced the appointment of Carlos Mateluna as the new general manager of its facilities in Brazil, effective March 2023. Carlos Mateluna was appointed CEO of ACTEGA do Brasil, a position he took up on March 1, 2023. Mateluna, who previously held the position of general manager of ACTEGA Terra Chile, has been with the company since the beginning of his professional career in 2008 and has played a key role in defining the strategic direction and promoting operational excellence at ACTEGA’s major facilities in South and Central America. With his leadership skills and teamwork, the new General Manager of ACTEGA do Brasil has made ACTEGA Terra Chile the market leader in the region in the paper-based printing, label and packaging industry.
