Thanks to the recycling of cans and plastic beverage bottles deposited in the yellow containers by the people of Murcia, the hospital clown association received 3,000 recycles. Through this system of return and reward will be transformed into an economic amount, which will help them to continue their work in the Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca with children and young people admitted in different areas.
A collaborative project has also been achieved with the Oxigenarte Association to carry out environmental education days in the area surrounding the Segura River, highlighting its biodiversity and combating the abandonment of waste, promoting the circular economy of packaging, with a clear social purpose.
Reciclos will also collaborate with the Murcian association ANCEBAEM that fights bullying in schools in the municipality of Murcia; Asociación Columbares in collaboration with Club Rotary to offer food to children at risk of social exclusion during holiday periods as well as the Murcian Association for the Diabetes Caregiver (ADIRMU) to offer first aid kits for diabetic children at risk of social exclusion.
To make use of this system, citizens only have to download the free app Reciclos and, at home, scan the barcode of the plastic can or bottle they want to recycle before throwing it in the bin. Once on the street, when they go to the yellow container with their packaging bag, they must deposit it there and scan the QR code on the container. Users will then earn points that can be used to participate in raffles or be donated to collaborative projects of social and environmental interest.
