The ‘Infinito’ Awards granted by the Spanish Metallographic Association (AME) have the purpose of promoting and recognizing the best actions to disseminate the benefits and characteristics of metal packaging and closures, as well as rewarding initiatives in environmental education. These awards are presented as a final part of the ‘Metal Recycles Forever’ campaign.
The Board of AME presented the Honorary Award in appreciation for the support to the sector to Mundolatas, a portal specialized in services for the manufacturer of metal packaging, we have been awarded with this Honorary Award granted by the Board of Directors of the Association. Thanks to the informative work in the metal packaging sector at international level through its specialized bilingual magazine, information with market studies, technical articles and news of the sector.
In addition, Javier Clemente has been awarded in the category of social networks for his project Todos Somos Reciclaje (We are all recycling). Thanks to its publications, it has managed to gather more than 200,000 followers on Instagram, more than 25,000 on YouTube and 18,000 on Facebook, who receive information about waste management and the importance of being environmentally responsible. He was also one of the content creators involved in the ‘Metal Recycles Forever’ campaign.
The Too Good to Go organization was awarded the Infinity Award for its work in the fight against food waste. Through its application, this company connects establishments that have excess food at the end of the day with customers willing to buy it at a reduced price.
Arturo Larena received the Infinito Award in the media category for his work in EFE Verde, a website focused on environmental journalism belonging to the EFE news agency. The main objective of EFE Verde is to provide specialized information and serve as a meeting place for those interested in topics such as environment, renewable energies, biodiversity, circular economy, environmental journalism and sustainable development.
During this time, AME has launched various actions in collaboration with national media, or influencers of different themes -lifestyle, gastronomy, environment, home, etc.-. In addition, an informative video has also been produced and shared, and an annual corporate report has been drafted, which includes the main actions carried out by the Association in 2022.
Metal is one of the most sustainable materials in existence as it is recycled forever, thus promoting the circular economy process. For this reason, the infinity symbol has been very present in the campaign, a concept that represents the quality of metal as a permanent and infinitely recyclable material. Once again, infinity is present in this action, giving name and image to these awards.
