Metal Packaging Europe (MPE) has announced the appointment of its new CEO, Krassimira Kazashka. With more than 20 years of experience in EU institutions, policies and business associations, Krassimira is expected to bring great value to the industry and to MPE. Prior to joining this organization, he worked for multinational companies, European associations and the European Commission, acquiring extensive knowledge on topics such as sustainability, packaging and packaging waste, circular economy, chemicals and food contact. Krassimira holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, a European Master’s degree in Environmental Protection and an MBA from the Vlerick Business School in Belgium.
According to the words of MPE’s president, Paulo Sousa, they are very happy to have Krassimira on their team. His leadership and expertise will be beneficial in further promoting the rigid metal packaging industry as an important part of the circular economy in the European Union, as well as the most sustainable option for consumers and the industry in general.
After being appointed to her new position, Krassimira was enthusiastic about building on the industry’s momentum and working together with members and other stakeholders to promote rigid metal packaging as an innovative solution and a valuable circular resource, with the goal of achieving a sustainable future.
