The launch marks the brand’s debut in the non-alcoholic and low-alcoholic category, in response to growing consumer demand for low-calorie, low-alcohol beverages that do not compromise on taste. UK wine brand Most Wanted Wines has added a 0.5% ABV Sauvignon Blanc product to its portfolio of sparkling canned wines.

In a statement announcing the launch, Most Wanted said the wine sector has lagged behind the beer market in terms of offering non-alcoholic and low-alcohol options, due to the “intricate nuances” of wine that create challenges to achieve depth of flavor and optimum sweetness in low and no offers.

The brand’s new product was intended to respond to this demand, as well as to the demand for non-alcoholic beverages in single-dose format for various occasions.

Sarah Watkins, brand manager at Most Wanted Wines, said: “After over a year of rigorous development, listening carefully to feedback from our consumers, we are delighted to introduce our <0.5% Sauvignon Blanc Fizz can to the market.”

He added, “Our consumers wanted a convenient, non-alcoholic option that aligned with their lifestyle choices, and we are proud to have met that demand head-on. We believe that while taste remains paramount, the convenience and sustainability of the canned format are key differentiators in today’s evolving wine landscape.”

The 0.5% Sauvignon Blanc soda can is now available in Morrison’s stores across the UK for £2 per 200ml can.
