Expert Jack Knight, Metalgráphica Paulista, and Metalgráphica Palmira will receive awards for their successful careers
Everything is set for the Latamcan fair to be held from May 21 to 23 in São Paulo. So far, the attendance of 550 participants has been confirmed. All major companies and brands related to metal packaging will be present. 18 of them will have exhibitions, these are: Sunchemical, Cinbal, Wallram, Sacmi, SPG Prints, Bortolin Kemo, Acumence, Innosen, IPS, Presco, Belvac, Industrial Physics, Stolle, Antares Vision Group, Pneuforce, Wakol, INXS and Interlub.
As every year, different tributes will be made. In this case, the awards will go to Jack Knight, global business development director for rigid packaging at INX International Ink Co; Metalgraphica Paulista, one of the oldest steel can producing companies in Brazil, and Metalgráfica PALMIRA will also be honored with a long history since its founding in 1924.
The honorees
According to the Latamcan website, Jack Knight has been part of the wonderful world of metal lithography and can manufacturing for over 40 years. Between 1980 and 2024, Jack has worked for some of the world’s largest ink producers, as well as with some printers and can manufacturers.
Since the 90s, the awardee has given hundreds of presentations at conferences, trade shows, and customer plants globally. He has written and published more than 50 papers for the metal graphics industry and packaging magazines. Jack retires after 21 years with INX Int’l Ink Co.
