The Czech company Moravia Cans, recognized as one of the leading European manufacturers of aluminum aerosol cans, has joined as a funding partner of the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative (UKARI). Led by Alupro, the initiative was created in 2022 with the aim of raising awareness and recycling of aerosols throughout the United Kingdom, seeking to achieve a recycling rate of 50% by 2030.

As a new sponsor, Moravia Cans will support key UKARI activities, including feasibility studies, data collection, pilot programs, and consumer awareness campaigns. During 2025, waste sampling programs have already been initiated in cities such as Solihull and Manchester, and communication campaigns are being prepared for launch in the coming months.

The CEO of Moravia Cans, Martin Boaler, highlighted the importance of this collaboration to promote recycling education and improve aerosol recovery rates. For his part, Tom Giddings, executive director of Alupro, noted that the incorporation of Moravia Cans will help accelerate the initiative’s efforts to achieve its sustainable goals.
