Molson Coors Beverage Company’s Burton brewery debuts new machinery. It has recently added a high-speed filler to its plant for its canning line, as part of the company’s 29 million euro investment.

Specifically, the filler will have a working volume of 2,000 cans of beer per minute when it is at full capacity once its installation at the plant is fully completed. The machinery has been designed and built to enable Molson Coors to utilize the latest types of sustainable packaging, including the ability to transition to lightweight cans, improving both the operational efficiency and sustainability of the canning line.

“We are really proud to operate our largest brewery in Burton and with this new team we continue to cement the town’s role as the home of British brewing and the wider beverage industry,” says Fraser Thomson, operations director for Molson Coors Beverage Company in Western Europe.

In addition, Thomson recognizes that the new high-speed filler is a great piece of equipment and will help continue to drive the efficiency of the brewery’s operations toward new sustainable goals.
