Long before the arrival of European settlers in North America, native tribes in eastern Canada and the northeastern United States had discovered how to collect maple sap and turn it into syrup. Undoubtedly, it is a breakfast classic in millions of Canadian homes, combined with pancakes, crepes or waffles, although it can also be used as an ingredient for baking and in the preparation of desserts. Now, Molson has brewed a beer-infused maple syrup.

One of the goals, cheering on Team Canada at the Winter Olympics will mean getting up a little earlier than usual, and Molson plans to be there when fans tune in for Molson Maple Beerup, a line of beer-infused maple syrups.

Katie Rankin, senior brand marketing manager at Molson explains, “Canadians are used to cheering on Team Canada with a beer in hand, but with events happening in the morning, this is a way for Canadians to continue to support our athletes. Molson Maple Beerup will be the sweet wake-up call for fans to enjoy in the morning.”

“Canadians are excited to support our athletes as they take the world stage at these Olympic Winter Games. Pairing Molson Maple Beerup with their morning pancakes is a unique way for Canadians to represent our home as Team Canada goes for gold,” concludes Rankin.
