The Mexican band Molotov, known for their irreverent and combative style, has commemorated their three decades in the music scene with the launch of a craft beer: Molochela. The product, resulting from a collaboration with the independent brewery Escollo, was officially presented on May 3, 2025 during the Beerfest Morelos, held at Jardines de México, in the state of Morelos.
The can design, with a provocative aesthetic true to the band’s spirit, pays tribute to their trajectory and the critical identity that has characterized them since their beginnings.
In addition to the beer launch, fans have also remembered the historic album “Molochete”, a collaboration between Molotov and the Mexican rap group Control Machete, released in 1997. This project, which fused the sounds of Latin American rock and hip hop, marked a milestone in the region’s music. Among the 19 songs that make up the album, tracks like “Molochete Mix”, “Sí señor” and “Humanos mexicanos” stand out.
The Molochela was distributed exclusively during the Beerfest and at some special events, such as their presentation at El Trompo Imperial, in Mexico City. At the moment, its sale through other channels or distribution points has not been confirmed.
With this initiative, Molotov not only celebrates their musical legacy but also expands their brand into new territories, true to their disruptive style.
