Metal packaging sales drove Silgan Holdings’ growth in 2025, outperforming the rest of its business segments. The American rigid packaging company closed the year with $6.5 billion in revenue, an 11% increase compared to 2024, primarily due to the strong performance of metal food cans, including pet food.
Within its operations, the metal packaging segment generated more than $3 billion, with growth of approximately 8% driven by demand in key markets. Meanwhile, the dispensing and specialty closures unit reported a sales increase of over 17%, helping the company exceed revenue expectations with $1.47 billion in the fourth quarter.
Silgan highlighted that the integration of recent acquisitions and sustained demand for its metal products supported the sales increase and the strengthening of its market position. These figures consolidate the company’s position as one of the leading metal packaging manufacturers in the United States.
