In the second period of the “RE PROMOS 2024” contest, the young people of Villa de Merlo (San Luis, Argentina) have managed to collect a total of 6221.5 kilos of recyclable materials, with the Monseñor Orzali Institute standing out with 2,000 kilos. The municipality continues to encourage the participation of young people in the care of the environment with the contest “RE PROMOS. A competition aimed at senior students of all educational institutions of Villa de Merlo, inviting them to collect as much recyclable waste as possible, such as paper, cardboard, plastics and aluminum cans, which are clean and properly separated.

After two months of competition, the second monthly weighing of recyclable materials was carried out in conjunction with the Cooperativa de Recuperadores Merlinos Unidos. The coordinated effort between the municipality, neighbors and students has resulted in the collection of more than 6 tons of recyclable materials since the beginning of this campaign.
