The Economic Interest Grouping (GIE) La Boîte Boisso has just appointed Lucien Debever, 36, General Delegate of the Economic Interest Grouping (GIE) La Boîte Boisson. Debever replaces Sylvain Jungfer, who has held the position for the past 12 years.
GIE La Boîte Boisson represents the three major European beverage packaging producers present in France, namely Ardagh Metal Beverage Group, Crown Bevcan Europe and Ball Packaging Europe.
“I am very happy to continue Sylvain Jungfer’s work supporting beverage crate manufacturers in the development of our sector, with an increasingly strong anchor in the circular economy. The metal can, a permanent material, is in fact infinitely recyclable. That is why I chose almost 15 years ago to work for this packaging of the future, and more specifically to develop its recycling in the out-of-home circuit,” says the new delegate.
In addition, he assures that his objective is none other than to put his expertise at the service of GIE La Boîte Boisson to meet the major challenges of the sector. “To increase the recycling rate of cans for increasingly virtuous packaging that meets the social and environmental expectations of the French, but also to continue to innovate and develop our production capacities to support the strong current and future growth of the market. More than 6 billion cans are produced every year in France.”
The appointment of Lucien Debever, director of the powerful out-of-home can sorting and recycling awareness program ‘Each Can Count’ France for 12 years, is a strong signal sent by beverage can manufacturers who have set themselves the goal of achieving 100% recycled aluminum cans by 2030.
In fact, it has contributed greatly to the success of ‘Every Canette Count’, which now has a real territorial network with more than 66 collection partners, 8,512 out-of-home sites that sort them and more than 1,000 covered events.
