Chippewa Falls-based Leinenkugel’s has just released a new beer called Juicy Peach, its first sour session style beer. The beverage was launched on February 1 and is currently available in the Great Lakes region.
Juicy Peach is a smooth, sour-style beer brewed with light sour notes balanced with the refreshing sweetness of natural peaches. Juicy Peach is just tart enough to keep it interesting, but not too bitter, giving you an easy-drinking, thirst-quenching taste experience that can be enjoyed year-round.
Crystal Hubert, associate marketing manager for Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co notes of the launch, “We’re known for a portfolio of advanced flavors, and peach is a flavor we haven’t dabbled in before. This is our first fruity sour session and, so far, we’ve gotten extremely positive feedback from drinkers. We think people are really going to love it.”
Juicy Peach enters the market as sour beers grow, outpacing overall beer dollar sales growth by 13%. Last year, the segment increased its dollar sales by more than 10%.
