Lanico to present new high-performance aerosol can machine at METPACK

LANICO announced that it will present a high-performance machine for producing 3-piece aerosol cans at METPACK (Essen, Germany), which will take place May 2-6. The company, which has been manufacturing machines for the can making and canning industry for more than 100 years, said the newly developed Can Former CF 589-pro achieves production speeds of 500 cans per minute and processes super-thin body material down to 0.13

The new Can Former CF 589-pro offers numerous advantages including material savings of up to 30% compared to conventional machinery. In addition, during format changes, height adjustments can be made in just 20 seconds without the need for additional tools. The machine uses modular tooling, allowing a complete format changeover in only 150 minutes.

With the Can Former CF 589-pro, welded can bodies are fed and separated vertically. During further processing, the spindle speed can be adjusted individually for each carousel with rotating tools. In this way, the machine is adjusted to meet the specific demands of the tinplate material used.

The Can Former CF 589-pro features the manual recipe management system (RMS), which integrates all the main production parameters, such as height, machine speed and spindle speed. By accessing the above configuration, parameter changes can be made in just a few seconds.

Another new product LANICO will present at METPACK is the ‘LANICO / KSM Conveyor Systems’ product line with high-speed end destackers, capable of handling ends of more than 1,000 ends per minute. A new seaming module for 5-liter rectangular cans showing speeds up to 100 cpm will be another highlight at Lanico’s booth in Germany.
