Kupsa buys Portuguese company Tintas Lacca

At the beginning of April, Industrias Químicas Kupsa S.L. completed the purchase of 100% of the shares of the Portuguese company Tintas Lacca S.A., as announced by the company in its social networks.

Since 1981 Tintas Lacca S.A. has become a reference in the Portuguese sector thanks to the wide range of varnishes for wood, interior paints and other quality industrial materials that they manufacture. Its recognized track record backs it up as a market leader.

Kupsa Coatings is seeking to consolidate its presence in the Portuguese market by opening a new location in order to improve delivery times and offer specialized products. Along with this, Tintas Lacca seeks to strengthen and increase its sales thanks to the synergies offered by Kupsa Coatings’ wide range of products.

“We are happy to welcome the people of Tintas Lacca now that they are a more important part of the group,” the company added.

Tintas Lacca took its first steps in the 1980s, when a small group of people joined forces to manufacture paints and varnishes for the furniture, civil construction and metal-mechanic industries.
