Krones’ revenue growth continued in the third quarter (+13.2%) compared with the previous year. In the first nine months of 2024, Krones increased its revenues by 11.2% year-on-year to €3,874.8 million, which is within the full-year growth forecast for 2024.

At €1,323.2 million, orders received between July and September 2024 exceeded the figure for the previous quarter (€1,310.2 million) and almost equaled the high level of the third quarter of 2023 (€1,327.7 million). Orders received in the first nine months of 2024 were slightly up on the solid previous year (EUR 4,113.6 million), reaching EUR 4,116.1 million. At EUR 4,363.6 million, the order backlog at the end of September 2024 was 6.6% higher than in the previous year.

Despite higher material and personnel costs, EBITDA margin increased in the first three quarters thanks to the company’s efficiency gains, rising from 9.5% in the previous year to 10.1%. This is within the forecast range for the full year 2024.

The company significantly improved free cash flow (before M&A activities) between January and September by EUR 311.1 million to EUR +145.0 million (previous year: EUR -166.1 million).

Based on the positive development of the first three quarters, Krones has confirmed the forecast for the full year 2024. The company expects revenue growth of between 9% and 13%, an EBITDA margin of between 9.8% and 10.3%, and an ROCE of between 17% and 19%.

After a positive first half-year in 2024, the third quarter was also favorable for Krones. The company maintained its profitable growth trajectory and, after the first nine months, confirmed the group’s financial targets for the full year 2024.

Revenue growth of 11.2% in the first three quarters – orders received remain at a high level

Krones’ strong growth in revenues continued in the third quarter of 2024. At 1,318.7 million euros, revenues rose by 13.2 % year-on-year (1,164.7 million euros). Production efficiency improved due to the good availability of materials. In the previous year, production was affected at times by shortages of electronic components. Part of the revenue growth is due to the acquisition of Netstal Maschinen AG.
