MPE announced the arrival of its new CEO, Krassimira Kazashka. With over two decades of experience and a deep understanding of EU institutions, policies and business associations, Krassimira will add value to the industry and the MEP team.

The president of MPE, Paulo Sousa, expressed his satisfaction with the new appointment and pointed out that “we are delighted to welcome Krassimira. Her leadership and experience will prove to be a great asset in our ongoing efforts to promote the rigid metal packaging industry as a leading force in the EU circular economy and as the preferred sustainable packaging choice for consumers and industry.”

Deputy CEO Sarah CUVELLIER will closely support Krassimira in her new role. “We look forward to an exciting and productive future for the rigid metal packaging industry,” MPE added.

Metal Packaging Europe (MPE) is the European association of the rigid metal packaging industry. It provides the European rigid metal packaging industry with a unified voice, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers and national associations.
MPE’s goal is to make metal the preferred choice for industrial and consumer packaging. They emphasize the excellent qualities of the metal packaging and the importance of the Metal Recycles Forever brand.

MPE represents the views of the industry and expresses its opinions so that stakeholders understand how metal packaging contributes to the Circular Economy. As consumers are increasingly concerned about the impact of packaging on the environment, MPE encourages the authorized use of the Recycle Mark.
In terms of sustainability, metal packaging, made from permanent materials, can be recycled over and over again without loss of quality, making it available today and for future generations. It is the perfect example of circular economy at work.
