Koenig & Bauer, a market leader in digital printing for decoration and packaging, has announced that Match Graphics has become its first RotaJET customer in Asia, with a full sales and service contract to begin in December 2024.
Match Graphics, a family-owned company and the largest supplier of printed decorative paper in India, has invested in Koenig & Bauer’s high-volume digital printing press to open up new application and personalization possibilities in addition to its traditional gravure business. Located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Match Graphics is a market leader in the manufacture, supply and export of decorative papers for the laminate and panel industry in India. The company has created a niche based on technological advances, exceptional quality and an unparalleled product range.
The final decision to purchase the RotaJET was made in close cooperation with Koenig & Bauer’s local representative, Indo Polygraph Machinery, India. In addition to the sale of the machine, the partnership includes a comprehensive service contract through which Match Graphics benefits from 24/7 technical support and remote service. This represents another example of how Match Graphics has constantly evolved to remain a market leader and implement innovations that have helped reshape thinking in the industry. Match Graphics currently has four brands under its umbrella: Natural Décor, Vogue, LINO and ECO-MG. These brands produce up to 2000 metric tons per month, which include printed decorative paper in weights ranging from 55gsm to 80gsm in 1250mm and 1850mm size. The exhibition centers are located in Ahmedabad and Delhi.
The principals of Match Graphics are Aman, Anand and Dhruv Agrawal. “We are beginning a new era in the ever-growing decorative paper industry,” said Mr. Aman Agrawal. “With this investment in Koenig & Bauer’s market-leading RotaJET digital technology, we see endless possibilities. We are advancing the industry with our superior product quality and a revolutionary production press that is environmentally friendly. We pride ourselves on being a technologically advanced manufacturer that, time and time again, has set industry precedents. We supply beautiful, modern decorative papers that can compete internationally in terms of design, aesthetics, price and customization options.”
Christoph Müller, member of the Executive Board of Koenig & Bauer, said: “RotaJET technology is going to transform Match Graphics’ business, with shorter runs, the highest quality production and endless possibilities for personalization and digital printing in addition to the gravure business. This is a model for future sales, incorporating a comprehensive service and support contract. This will ensure that, in the event of any problems, they can be solved immediately, especially as parts will be available on site.”
