Industrial Physics has announced the appointment of Barry Lyon as CEO, and Lance Reisman as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Barry succeeds Jim Neville, who has led the company since 2016. The announcement follows news that the acquisition of the company by investment funds managed by KKR from Union Park Capital (UPC) was completed on July 19, 2023.
Barry joins Industrial Physics after more than fifteen years at Danaher Corporation (“Danaher”), including more than five years leading large global businesses in the test and measurement industry. Most recently, Barry served as President of Microbiology for Beckman Coulter, a global clinical diagnostics company and Danaher operating company.
“Industrial Physics has built an impressive global portfolio of leading brands and I am excited to build on this foundation to better serve our customers and drive future growth, both organically and through acquisitions. I am excited to work with KKR as a strategic partner and to lead the rollout of a comprehensive share plan in which all Industrial Physics colleagues will become owners of the business.” Barry Lyon said.
Lance led holistic operational and commercial transformations and executed a series of strategic acquisitions. Previously, he held various senior positions at Hach for six years, eventually leading the company as President.
“I am delighted to join the Industrial Physics Board and look forward to working with Barry and this talented team to achieve a new phase of growth and innovation.” said Lance Reisman.
