It has been found that when the beer can is partially opened, the pressure is concentrated in the narrow opening. Also, when pouring, the area of beer in contact with the cap increases, which facilitates the formation of bubbles.


In addition, the properties of the lid and the distances between the ring tabs alter when a can is opened. Thus, with the new can, it is recommended to open the first ring first and pour the beer halfway into a glass.
