Integrated Packaging Solutions (IPS) has developed a smaller and more energy-efficient high-speed can sorter, the Colorado-based company has announced.
According to the company, the Rapid Sort, as this new development is called, is a fast HFI can sorting system with three camera stations that quickly inspect the bottom, inside and outside of cans to ensure accurate sorting, preventing defective cans from being shipped to customers. Defective cans are automatically ejected. Also the filling and emptying of pallets.
Rapid-Sort is also smaller in size than other similar manufacturing lines and also more energy efficient.
