The Alcoa Institute has announced the opening of applications for its 2024 Local Project Support Program. This initiative aims to contribute to the institute’s mission of promoting education and development in the areas where it operates.
The program supports projects developed by civil society organizations in various areas, such as education, employment generation, entrepreneurship and job training. In addition, the inclusion of women, racial-ethnic groups, people with disabilities and LGBTQIA+ audiences is encouraged.
Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria: Geographic Location: Priority will be given to projects in the regions of Poços de Caldas, Andradas and Caldas (MG), Divinolândia (SP), Juruti (PA) and São Luís; experience and duration: Organizations must have at least two years of foundation, and proposed initiatives should not exceed a maximum duration of two years.
“We recognize the power of civil society and its ability to transform local communities. By working together with diverse stakeholders, we can promote a more inclusive and equitable society.”
said Mônica Espadaro, executive director of operations at the Alcoa Institute.
Applications will be received through the official Alcoa Institute website and selected projects will be announced by August 23.
