Hyperion Materials & Technologies, a leading global materials science company developing advanced hard and super-hard materials, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the operations of Damen Carbide Tool Co, Inc.
Damen Carbide is a Wood Dale, Illinois, USA based company specializing in EDM grinding and finishing of carbide and ceramic components. Damen Carbide also develops tools for metal packaging, cutting, sawing and a wide variety of general industrial applications. Damen Carbide’s core competencies and manufacturing capabilities, backed by decades of manufacturing experience, will be a significant addition to Hyperion’s Precision Solutions business.
Ron Voigt, CEO of Hyperion asserts that: “As we continue to expand our capabilities in carbide component manufacturing, the addition of Damen Carbide’s operations expands our range of abilities to customize parts to customer requirements.”.
