The Spanish Metallographic Association, AME, has just presented its Infinito Awards in the second edition of these awards.
This year’s winners were Helena Ceva, in the social media category, for creating art from recycled crown caps, commonly known as “chapas”. Helena has shown her art to her more than 50,000 followers between Instagram and Tik Tok.

In the section on organizations, the award winners were the Ecoescuelas Project for promoting environmental education for sustainable development and environmental management and certification in kindergarten, primary and secondary schools at an international level. This program, supported by UNESCO, already has the participation of 600 centers in Spain and in the Kiss de Planet media section of the Kiss Media group for its promotion of respect for the environment and human rights. Kiss The Planet works daily to inform about environmental news and, in addition, they are committed to lead and participate in actions whose purpose is to erase the footprint of human beings on terrestrial ecosystems.

The Asociación Metalgráfica Española, a business entity that brings together producers of metal packaging and closures, launched this social awareness initiative in 2023 to disseminate and teach about the importance of recycling, especially of metal, and its positive impact on the environment. This year, in order to encourage the participation of associates and members, the awards ceremony was held at the 2024 General Assembly of the Spanish Metallographic Association, which invited the winners of this second edition of the Infinito Awards to this annual event.
