Bean toast is an easy, cheap and accessible meal that is also delicious to eat on chilly autumn days for most Brits. To add further variety, Heinz Beanz recently announced three new curry flavors: Tikka, Jalfrezi and Vindaloo.
The new limited edition Beanz Flavourz range combines two British classics: curry and Heinz Beanz and builds on the existing Flavourz; including chilli, barbecue and beanz curry.
This new proposition comes on the back of recent Heinz research revealing that 40% of Brits often incorporate spices into their beans at home to give them an extra kick of flavor, 19% of consumers confess to actively seeking out spicy food and 70% prefer slightly spicy foods.
For decades, the British have chosen curry as their favorite spice, followed by paprika (26%), chili powder (23%), ginger (22%) and curry powder (20%). That is why the brand added this type of spice to Heinz Beanz Boffins to cater to new consumer tastes.
No one doubts the passion of the British for curry, with almost 49% of Brits claiming to eat Indian cuisine at least three times a month, and in the case of Chicken Tikka Masala it is consumed by 29% who say it is their favorite curry.
Finally, the study also reveals that almost half of consumers, 43%, consume baked beans at least once a week, making this combo a perfect solution to be a successful product in the UK.
