The French government platform Rappel Conso has issued a health alert for the recall of batches of Bonduelle brand sweet corn kernels, due to a sealing defect that could cause bacterial contamination. The affected product, sold in packs of three 140g cans with no added sugars (GTIN 3083681127430, batch L4230 008 08), was distributed between February 14 and March 26, 2025 in chains such as Système U, Intermarché, Auchan, and Galec.

The technical fault, attributed to a supplier, can alter the product’s properties (such as causing mold or acidification) and pose a health risk. French authorities recommend not consuming these cans and discarding them. The alert does not affect products purchased outside that period and their sale has not been confirmed in other countries. This measure is part of the French preventive food safety protocol.
