Guala Closures, a leader in the production of closures for all types of beverage and oil sectors, has inaugurated its new manufacturing plant in the Lagos Free Zone, Nigeria. This facility, spanning nearly 5,000 square meters, will serve the West African markets and provide anti-counterfeiting security closures, specially designed for the local market.
The plant, which was completed in just 22 weeks, will be operational by the end of 2024 and is expected to generate significant local employment opportunities.
This expansion is part of Guala Closures’ growth strategy, which already has operations in Kenya and South Africa, and reinforces its commitment to the African market, particularly Nigeria, one of the most populous and fastest-growing countries on the continent. The plant will offer innovative solutions for local companies and global brands, aligning with the growing premium beverage market in the country.
Andrea Lodetti emphasized that this investment reaffirms Guala Closures’ commitment to the African market and creating value for its partners, with the company’s focus on cutting-edge technologies and product quality to strengthen brand identity and combat counterfeiting, an increasingly relevant challenge in the industry.
