GEW has announced the appointment of Amir Dekel as vice president of sales for GEW Inc. This change is part of the ongoing restructuring of the company’s North American sales operations. Specifically, Dekel will focus his efforts on GEW’s core label and narrow web business, working with key OEM partners and with a renewed focus on end-user engagement.

Prior to joining GEW, Dekel was business unit manager of the Printing Division at ISRA VISION, a supplier of automation and automatic inspection equipment, and was responsible for all activities of this business unit worldwide.

Dekel is an engineering graduate with an M.Sc. degree. in Electrical Engineering, and has experience in developing printing-related solutions worldwide and is fluent in English, German and Hebrew.

Robert Rae, GEW’s general sales manager, adds that, “Amir’s long experience in narrowbanding in North America (as president of AVT) makes him the perfect candidate to manage this key part of GEW’s business, with his extensive knowledge of the market. In addition, during his comprehensive training at GEW, I was very impressed with his technical understanding of our products and technology, which will be invaluable in the field.”

Finally, GEW’s Jennifer Heathcote will move to the position of vice president of business development. Jennifer will shift her role to focus on business development in the industrial, coating and converting markets.
