The Spanish consumer organization has analyzed 17 different brands on sale in Spain and has passed judgment.
Beer consumption is widespread throughout the world. In the case of Spain, official data from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs reveals that Spaniards drink an average of 23.31 liters of beer each year. This data confirms that going out for a beer has become very common in our country and many people find it a good way to disconnect from daily stress.

It should be remembered that beer, as an alcoholic beverage, should be consumed in moderation. Abuse can lead to serious long-term health problems, such as liver cirrhosis, obesity and cardiovascular disease.

The OCU, Organization of Consumers and Users, has published the results of its analysis to discover which are the best brands of canned beer that can be found in supermarkets. This information is very useful for all those who enjoy sharing beer with friends both at home and on outdoor terraces.

The OCU has made an evaluation of 17 classic beers, i.e. light blond beers with an alcohol content between 4.5 and 5.5 degrees. The analysis took into account factors such as its components, the fermentation process, labeling and a tasting by experts. The results were satisfactory as most of them scored well.

Experts from the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU) have surprised many by discovering that, according to the results of their study, there are private label breweries that perform as well as the well-known brands on the market and are just as economical. This evaluation was conducted by an accredited team from the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP). Among the two best beers rated by the OCU in Spain are the following:

The OCU has echoed Damm’s beer, Xibeca Sueva, which received a score of 80 points. Considering its pleasant and slightly bitter taste, this beverage is characterized by its low gas content and its moderate price of between 50 and 70 cents per can.

According to the results of the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU), Mahou Clásica obtained a 76 in its rating. The price of this beer is between 55 and 72 cents. This means that it is a drink with a moderately bitter taste, medium amount of gas and little body.

If you’re looking for something affordable, two private label beers can save you. On the one hand we have Aurum beer, offered by Eroski and with a rating of 74. Second is Aldi’s Karlsquell with a score of 72 points. Both are quite affordable: only 30 cents per can.
