Spanish aluminum company EXLABESA recently announced the acquisition of FLANDRIA ALUMINIUM, a French company that manufactures and processes aluminum parts. The recently signed agreement has passed the legal validation process by the competent authorities and has been approved by the French Competition Commission.
On the other hand, EXLABESA has decided to expand its business with the acquisition of a company, which will strengthen its presence in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. This will enable the company to offer high value-added products with the highest level of service in these markets.
Both family-owned companies share identical values and the same passion for the aluminum industry. Through this partnership, EXLABESA will bring its entrepreneurial vision to drive the growth of FLANDRIA, which will maintain a high degree of autonomy to respond in the most effective way to the specific needs of its market.
FLANDRIA ALUMINIUM, located in Warneton, in the French department of Nord, has half a century of history and employs 170 workers. Its camp comprises an area in excess of 35,000 square meters with two presses ranging from ⌀ 8” to ⌀ 9”. This has allowed reinforcing the recycling process by adding a melting furnace, which increases the capacity to manufacture low-carbon products.
The company has been able to expand to three different continents thanks to its nine production centers. These are located in countries such as Spain, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Morocco, the United Kingdom and the United States. In this way, they can reach more than 15,000 customers in 40 different countries with the help of 1,800 workers who generate a total of 160,000 tons of extruded profiles annually.
