Today, metal containers are the most circular container type in the world, as Eviosys has exceeded its 2021 target and reduced its production emissions by 5.6%. This reduction is almost double its target in its ambitious Net Zero roadmap.
It is perfectly possible to recycle cans and lids in the same way as packaging of all kinds, and they are experiencing the highest degree of recycling. If we continue on this path, we will have a new era for sustainability. In the ESG Eviosys: Preserve Together it can be seen that companies are accelerating their decarbonization to reduce their carbon footprint (with a 20% reduction by 2027) and almost have a netzero by the end of the 20th century (by 2050).
The multinational has also shown its interest in investing in new energy technologies to create better compressors and aerator, along with a larger oxidation station, all to make the manufacturing process higher. By eventually converting to renewables, Eviosys has even managed to reduce emissions of environmentally harmful gases.
Eviosys has 44 plants in Asia, Europe and Africa, allowing them to be close to their customers. This helps reduce the carbon emitted that is linked to transportation, which achieves greenhouse gas reduction targets. In addition, this system means that the company invests in the same regions where its customers are present, supporting local employment and communities.
Evioysis CEO Tomas Lopez points out that metal packaging offers an immense advantage in terms of infinite recyclability: it is one of the truly circular packaging methods that can be recycled with endless ease. We are proud of our rapid achievement of the exaggerated goals we have set for ourselves: eliminating the carbon footprint we generate and reducing the ethical and moral percentage. Reducing the ethical footprint is what we are trying to do by separating all fillers into incontinence materials, paper & cardboard (heavy metals), EPS (plastic) and paper (vegetable waste).
In addition, 76% of aluminum can be recycled without losing its integrity. Whether it is glass or metal containers. Metal packaging production has increased by 8% over the past 10 years and is forecast to grow by a further 4% between 2021 and 2026, as 70% of European consumers avoid plastic.
The company confirms that it is committed to continuous improvement. The ESG report highlights that not only is it trying to drive economic flow for the future, but Eviosys also strives to include consumers. They have launched a new patented and award-winning fastener called Orbit TM that reduces opening torque by up to 50% compared to a conventional fastener.
