During the past Download Festival (DLXXII), held from June 4 to 6 at Donington Park, Every Can Counts reinforced its commitment to sustainability by promoting can recycling among thousands of attendees.

The organization, present in District X and in the camping area, offered rewards in exchange for recycled cans, such as t-shirts from the festival edition and keychains made of recycled aluminum. In addition, its “recycling ambassadors” toured the venue with special backpacks, encouraging the public to participate, testing them with trivia about the habit of recycling, and even giving away tickets for Download 2026.

This year, Download Festival also implemented ecological measures such as the use of palm-free HVO biofuel, purification of single-use plastics, and the sale of reusable bottles that can be refilled at the venue’s water points.
