Exit Festival, one of the world’s most popular festivals, which attracts a crowd of more than 200,000 visitors managed to lead the way in can recycling, an initiative that was driven by Every Can Counts.
Thanks to the Green Exit initiative and the partnership with HEINEKEN Srbija, festival attendees had the opportunity to exchange seven empty cans for a refreshing new beer, adding an extra incentive to participate in recycling efforts. In addition, the eye-catching PixelCan, the illuminated I 💛 MUSIC can recycling cages and the iconic Every Can Counts backpacks were installed center stage.
“In keeping with the tradition of staying one step ahead, our innovative Serbian team introduced a revolutionary digital system for out-of-home recycling. Through point-of-sale terminals, each can is now scanned, which not only makes it possible to count recycled cans in real time, but also to provide transparency and verifiable records of the quantities collected,” the association added.
