Eurobox is integrated into Masilly, an important and veteran French company dedicated to the manufacture of cans, as reported by Eurobox through its own blog.

Massilly, a family-owned company founded in 1911, is acquiring a majority stake in Eurobox, a strategic move to strengthen the premium metal packaging market in Europe.

The French company supplies metal packaging for the industrial and food sectors and is a European benchmark with a global presence and offices in Europe, America, Asia and Africa.

Diversification in luxury cosmetics and gourmet sectors

Masilly’s acquisition of Eurobox aims to diversify its production of aluminum packaging for the perfumery, luxury cosmetics and gourmet food sectors.

At present, Masilly already has three subsidiaries in Spain. Eurobox joins Iberembal, specialized in aerosols and caps, based in San Adrián (Navarra) and Grumetal, dedicated to conservation and located in Sobradiel, a small town in the province of Zaragoza.

For Eurobox, this acquisition translates into a series of competitive advantages that translate into: having the printing facilities that the holding company has in Spain; developing R&D&I activities; intensifying relations with European customers; using new technologies in terms of machinery and software; expanding the range of products and improving in terms of sustainability and obtaining certifications.

According to Eurobox, this union will make it possible to take advantage of synergies and be more competitive in a demanding and high-value market such as the metal packaging market.

With more than 2,000 employees between all the companies of the group and more than 6 billion products sold, Massilly has kept the essence of each company to operate independently based on its expertise, combining it with know-how. Eurobox becomes part of a group with more than 100 years in the market and a global turnover of more than 700 million euros per year.
