Multinational PPG announced the appointment of Ethan Schneider as global beverage segment manager of its Packaging Coatings business. Among his new duties, the newly appointed executive will have to drive a new strategy aimed at the beverage segment in order to maintain its growth and keep consumers satisfied.
Schneider succeeds Robyn McMillan, who is leaving PPG after 34 years of service with the company. He will also be responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term strategic segment plans, including the alignment and prioritization of the product portfolio, technical capabilities, production capacities, inter-regional projects and market needs with the global strategy.
Jason Boast, PPG’s Director of Segments and Strategic Initiatives, Packaging Coatings, noted that “We are delighted to welcome Ethan to the Packaging Coatings team. With his impressive track record and diverse experience, he is well positioned to lead our global segment strategy and strengthen our customer and industry partnerships.”
Schneider’s experience at PPG has been well-rounded, as he has worked in several areas in the architectural coatings business in the United States and Canada especially across multiple product lines and customer segments. It has also recently driven growth and spearheaded an innovative roadmap for PPG’s adhesive and sealant products.
