VMI CAN supplies the highest quality can washers, can washer-ovens, can washer-coaters and hot water boilers for the two-piece beer, beverage and food can industry. Over the years, VMI CAN has introduced new technologies that have paved the way for more economical and energy-efficient washing and drying solutions. We have a rich heritage in the global canmaking industry, as the first washers and ovens were installed in Europe in the early 1970s. Over time, we have pioneered new technologies that give our customers the ability to compete and stay ahead of the market.

Our can washers are for the two-piece beer, beverage and food can market and are designed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our machines feature fully automated, operator-friendly operation, innovative software control systems, stainless steel base frames, stainless steel nozzles, electronic tank level controls, infrared can jam detectors and flow meters throughout the machine. The standard design can be easily customized by adding a wide variety of options (such as coalescers, low wear belt support systems, additional high performance vacuum blades (“ACOD”), making the machine adaptable to specific customer situations. Each machine is stripped and passivated inside and out to ensure the cleanest and most corrosion-resistant surfaces possible.

VMI drying ovens are designed to dry two-piece beer, beverage and food cans. In less than ten minutes, the drying ovens are fully heated and operational.
With operating temperatures of 150 to 210 degrees Celsius, the cans dry ultra-fast. The machine is very well insulated, to keep the heat inside and ensure that the outer wall panels remain cool. This not only makes the machine safer, but also contributes considerably to energy savings.

As part of its two-piece food can processing line, the VMI CAN can washer uses two curtains to coat the outside of the cans. Its compact design makes it the smallest footprint in the industry. Entirely built in stainless steel, the machine is equipped with coating filters, two air knives and a cleaning sponge roller. In addition, the machine can be upgraded with an optional separate sponge roller system for cleaning the can rim.
Space always plays an important role in the area available in a boiler room, so the VMI CAN hot water boiler is designed to use only a limited area. However, important technical requirements, such as low NOx emission and high performance due to a large heated surface, seem to contradict this. The VMI CAN hot water boiler combines these requirements with a very compact and lightweight design. As a result of the excellent heat transfer in the heat exchanger, very high efficiencies can be obtained, reducing gas consumption to a minimum.
