Once again, Emballator was present at Svenska Mässan 2022 where it presented its latest innovations in sustainable packaging. The company’s packaging experts reported on the latest developments regarding recycled material as well as the high focus on sustainability as well as future packaging.

During Scanpack 2022 Emballator also participated in three on-stage activities. At all three presentations, the company was represented by Mats Jeppsson, Innovation Manager at Emballator’s Innovation Center.

On the first day of the show, Mats led a seminar on the path to sustainable packaging for Emballator. “It is exciting and fun to be able to talk about our studies and thoughts on recyclability, recycled material and bio-based material for thin wall packaging. For us at Emballator, innovation goes hand in hand with sustainability.” said Jeppsson.

Mats also participated in a seminar organized by Nordisk bioplastförening. There the focus was on the testing of bio-based materials such as lignin, PLA, bio-PP and coffee composite which was conducted by the Emballator Innovation Center.

“At Emballator’s Innovation Center we evaluate new material solutions and solutions for existing applications. For example, the company has access to process equipment for injection molding, blow molding and extrusion, as well as measuring equipment for thermal and mechanical testing. This enables renewable materials testing with really short lead times.”he added.

Jeppsson also took part in a panel discussion on ‘Tomorrow’s packaging: what will it look like?‘. “It will be very interesting to mediate our ideas, but also to listen to the other participants. I hope we will have a good discussion that will highlight the importance of sustainability in the packaging of the future.” concluded Mats.
