ECOEMBES IMPLEMENTS ITS RECICLOS SYSTEM IN SAN FERNANDO

The company Ecoembes implemented in San Fernando (Cádiz), through an initiative of the City Council, its Reciclos system to reward the recycling of plastic and cans. With this Return and Reward System (RRS), the nearly 95,000 citizens of San Fernando can earn sustainable and social rewards by recycling their cans and plastic beverage bottles in the more than 500 yellow garbage cans located on the public streets.

Specifically, with the points obtained from recycling, RECICLOS users will be able to collaborate with the Food Bank or the Juegaterapia Foundation, to donate toys to children undergoing cancer treatment.

Antonio López, manager of Ecoembes in Andalusia, stressed that “recycling is a simple gesture and very beneficial for the environment, which is why it is increasingly important for institutions to promote this habit with projects such as RECICLOS. We thank the City Council of San Fernando and its neighbors, who increasingly recycle more and better, for their involvement with this system and we encourage them to use it to protect the environment while taking care of their surroundings”.

San Fernando residents committed to recycling can earn rewards every time they recycle their cans and plastic beverage bottles. This is possible thanks to the City Council’s commitment to RECICLOS, the Return and Reward System (RDS) developed by Ecoembes. Also, RECICLOS users in San Fernando will be able to donate their RECICLOS points to donate toys to children undergoing cancer treatment.
