Estonia’s oldest brewery has launched a new range of its Dynami energy drinks in vibrantly colored cans from Canpack, using special inks with a phosphorescent effect.
A. Le Coq, part of the Olvi Group of Finland, Denmark, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, currently has the broadest beverage portfolio in the Baltic Sea region. The full range includes beers, ciders, low-alcohol beverages, soft drinks, fruit wines, energy drinks, syrups, waters, juices, sports drinks and tonics. These are not only popular in local markets, but are also exported to more than 70 countries.
The newly created collection of energy drinks comes in four unique flavor variants, called Nocturnal Light, Magic Tingle, Cool Vibe and Night Shadow. Combinations such as lime and passion fruit or apple and mint appeal to consumer trends for more sophisticated options, while the inclusion of low-sugar variants and functional ingredients respond to the growing demand for healthier options.
The Neon effect uses phosphorescent ink that makes the cans glow in the dark, ideal for the target market for these beverages, according to Canpack. The addition of the Superbright effect further helps the cans stand out on the shelf, the company said.
Jörgen Kippel, product manager at A. Le Coq, commented: “The cans themselves are effectively a ‘store window’ for the beverages they contain. The use of special effects inks was a great choice that really enhances their shelf appeal. It opens up a wider range of possibilities to amplify the appeal of the products and how consumers relate to our brand.”
Lars Stenback, sales manager at Canpack Finland, said they are proud to offer a wide variety of printing techniques to create the feeling a brand wants to convey to its customers. For this project they have Neon and Superbright effects.
