DTE, recognized for its advances in process and quality control in metal production and fabrication, will be highlighted in a new CBS program called ‘Leaders of Innovation and Disruption’, showcasing its cutting-edge technology and applications. The series showcases remarkable companies and individuals who are changing industries and challenging the boundaries of what was once thought possible.

After a successful year, DTE was able to raise funds in a Series A2 financing round thanks to the backing of important leaders in the aluminum industry such as Novelis, the equity fund Metaplanet and the European Innovation Council (EIC), in addition to its current investors Chrysalix Venture Capital and Brunnur Ventures. With this economic boost, the company aims to increase its sales portfolio and accelerate its technological and product development.

DTE’s recent documentary presents how its technology is radically transforming the aluminum industry by eliminating the need for manual sampling. In addition, it provides metal producers and manufacturers with tools that enable them to improve their processes and production, ensuring a reduction in carbon emissions.

On the other hand, DTE has achieved a breakthrough in the metals industry thanks to its real-time elemental analysis technology. This will help to minimize waste and improve production efficiency in the metallurgical industry, which consumes large amounts of energy.

According to Derek Prichett, senior vice president of Corporate Development at Novelis – the world’s largest aluminum recycling company and one of DTE’s investors and customers – the implementation of this technology will bring significant improvements in terms of safety, quality and recycling potential. “The main improvements we expect to see by implementing DTE’s technology are safety, by keeping operators away from the furnaces and molten metal and out of harm’s way, quality, ensuring our furnace compositions are kept to specification thanks to real-time analytics, and an increase in our recycling potential, knowing how much scrap to include in our batches,” Prichett concluded.

DTE CEO Karl Ágúst Matthíasson expressed his pride and honor at the launch of the new docuseries ‘Innovation and Disruption Leaders’. According to him, this recognition demonstrates the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries in the metalworking industry. He also believes that this series will be an opportunity to highlight the work and transformative solutions offered by his team.

“Our vision is that DTE technology will track product composition and quality in all metal segments throughout the global metals industry and that this will truly be a revolutionary factor in optimizing decision making, optimizing quality and minimizing any waste in this huge industry,” he concluded.
