Ball Corporation, a world leader in sustainable aluminum packaging, recently appointed Dan Fisher as CEO of the multinational company, a position that was made effective at the company’s annual general meeting on April 27.

John Hayes, who has held the position since January 2011, will remain as chairman of the company’s Board of Directors and will continue to lead the board’s activities and support its environmental, social and economic sustainability initiatives.

As Ball Corporation’s new president and CEO, “it is a great honor to lead an organization of more than 24,000 employees who remain committed to bringing sustainable solutions to our customers and creating a better and brighter future for the communities in which we operate.”

Fisher adds that “together, we offer innovative and sustainable aluminum packaging solutions and aerospace technologies that help people live more sustainably and advance our understanding of how the world works.”

The new CEO further emphasizes that throughout Ball’s 140-year history, its commitment to building a thriving business, serving our customers and caring for our people and our communities has remained constant. “My predecessor, mentor and friend, John Hayes, advanced this legacy by guiding our team as we enhanced our commitment to sustainable operations and product stewardship, launched a first-of-its-kind product, the Aluminum Ball Cup, and strengthened our customer relationships,” he adds.

“Since joining Ball, I have had the opportunity to be part of many teams across the company , from global beverage packaging to aerospace, and I am confident that we are well positioned to meet the opportunities and challenges ahead” to which he concludes, “In my new role, I will continue to prioritize innovation, purposeful decision-making and supporting an environment where every Ball employee has the opportunity to contribute value to our shared success. It is because we operate at the intersection of innovation and sustainability that Ball is redefining success at a time when our customers require unique solutions to complex challenges – and I remain committed to seeing this purpose-driven mindset continue well into the future.”
