With the arrival of summer, the brewery is relaunching a campaign that has been running for the last 5 years and with which it has managed to recover some 29 tons of aluminum.
Damm continues its efforts to promote recycling to revalue and recycle waste. With more than 400 compacting machines distributed on the beaches of 61 coastal municipalities of the Mediterranean, the company resumes and promotes one more year the recycling of cans on the beaches. The idea is to ensure that aluminum is correctly separated and recovered for subsequent recycling and reuse.
Back in 1994, Damm promoted a pioneering initiative in the sector with a primary objective: to raise awareness and educate about the importance of recycling aluminum cans. 29 years later, through the installation of can compacting machines near beach areas, Damm continues to provide the population with a simple and effective system for recycling the cans consumed, which allows more than half a million cans to be recycled every summer and which has made it possible to recover 29 tons of these containers in the last five years alone.
