Crown Holdings recognized for its sustainability efforts.

Crown Holdings has earned a Supplier Engagement Rating (SER) of A as part of its annual global corporate climate change assessment.

This rating has been awarded for its actions and strategies to reduce emissions and manage climate risks in its supply chain.

Crown’s inclusion in the CDP 2020 Supplier Commitment Leaderboard is the latest recognition of the company’s sustainability efforts.

As Crown points out in its press release, climate action is one of the five core action pillars of its Twentyby30 sustainability strategy.

“As part of its commitments in this area, the company has committed to reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from its supply chain (Scope 3) by 16% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline.

To achieve this goal, Crown partners with suppliers to reduce the GHG footprint of materials (focused on steel and aluminum, coatings and varnishes) and their capital equipment, thereby optimizing downstream logistics, distribution and transportation and reducing fuel consumption and mileage.
